International audienceThis contribution is based on a survey conducted among environmentalist associations in the Corniche des Forts forest in Romainville between November 2018 and March 2019 (Guillibert and Chesnais 2019). This forest and the Gagarin housing estate that overlooks it were promised to be destroyed following the urban development project of an “eco-neighborhood” and a “leisure base” developed as part of the “Grand Paris”. However, as ecologists have shown, this forest contains a rhizomatic plant known as invasive, “Japanese knotweed” (Muratet, Muratet and Pellaton, 2017).
